Our Approach

The BOF1-HEC project consisted of the 43,000 square foot, three-story battalion headquarters. Straughan Environmental worked as the sustainability consultant to support the contractor in tracking, and documenting HPSB and LEED requirements towards HPSB Guiding Principles Validation compliance and LEED certification requirements. HPSB Guiding Principles were tracked concurrently with LEED credit requirements, most of which were met through the more stringent LEED credit documentation requirements.

Straughan developed key Sustainability deliverables including the Sustainability Action Plan and Construction Indoor Air Quality Management Plan to guide the process for implementing and achieving project sustainability goals throughout construction and post-occupancy. Closeout Submittals will be prepared and submitted at substantial completion and post-construction to achieve the final LEED Silver Certification award.
