Straughan was excited to be a part of the USGBC Maryland Chapter Annual Wintergreen Leadership Awards Ceremony on January 22, 2020.
Straughan was the Sustainability Consultant for the University of Maryland at Baltimore Design & Construction Offices project that won the Green Schools: Higher Education Leadership Award. The project, which is certified Silver under LEED v4 for Commercial Interiors, is noted for its use of sustainable building materials such as cork and bamboo flooring, and a green wall.
