“I was given the opportunity to lead the brand-new Central Heating Power (CHP) project, on behalf of the NASA Environmental team. I worked with a team of multi-disciplinary teams at NASA and made sure Environmental compliance requirements were met. I also led the Hazard and Operability Analysis (HAZOP) which was a study that analyzed different modules of the plant and ensured the plant was built against worst case scenarios. The CHP plant was built so NASA would generate its own electrical power without relying on external power grids. This project was special to me because this was NASA’s very first CHP unit install across the agency.”
