In 2018, I assisted with the implementation of Unanet Financials, a Gov-Con ERP system. It was a lengthy undertaking that presented numerous challenges. In the end, it was a fantastic learning opportunity that allowed me to advance my accounting and reconciliation skills. The system continues to yield time-saving benefits and reporting enhancements to all employees at Straughan, and I am so pleased to have been a part of its success.

What do you like about working at Straughan?

Straughan has an incredible workplace culture. Management strives to engage with employees on a personal level, cultivating a healthy team atmosphere.

As a woman in the workplace, I feel a sense of encouragement at Straughan that I have not received through other employers. I am so proud that women hold many of our senior and leadership positions.

What are your favorite ways to care for our environment?

Over the past few years, I have strongly embraced minimalism and learning to live with less. I like to challenge myself to repurpose items in my home and look for ways to reduce food and shopping waste.
